The Royal Orb is a flawless Pre-Hardmode orb that is dropped by Queen Bee when defeated without taking any damage from her. When used, it summons a large bee carrying a beehive that follows the cursor. While it deals no damage on its own, it will release a bee for each hit from another source by the player; these will typically come from other minions in practice, but there are no actual restrictions on what can trigger it. The bees function identically to those released by other bee-related items like the Honey Comb and Bee Gun, including the ability to be enhanced by the Hive Pack. Like all orbs, the channeled minion will only exist for as long as the ⚒ Use / Attack key is held, disappearing immediately when it is released.

Its best modifier is Demonic, Deadly, Murderous, or Hurtful, all of which raise damage equally from rounding. Damage is the only statistic worth improving, since speed only affects the initial summon rather than the channeled minion, added with the minion's inability to deal critical hits. Also, it cannot receive knockback affecting modifiers.
