The Desolate Winds is a craftable Hardmode magic weapon. On use, it summons numerous windstreak projectiles from behind the player that steadily move horizontally forward, occasionally looping on themselves and rapidly hitting any enemies they overlap. The winds have a long duration that can allow them to be used in combination with other weapons effectively, but will disappear instantly upon hitting any solid terain. It is the desert counterpart of the Shatterslash.

Its best modifier is Mythical.
