The Skull Melter is a craftable Pre-Hardmode warhammer. On use, it is swung slowly over the player's head like a broadsword, inflicting high knockback and lowering the defense of hit enemies by 18 as well as lighting them On Fire! for 20 seconds. However, it will not hit if the head of the hammer itself doesn't hit the enemy; right clicking will cause it to be thrust forward like a spear instead, making it much easier to hit close-up enemies but halving its damage and removing its ability to reduce defense.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
