The Batastrophe is a flawless Pre-Hardmode summon weapon that is dropped by the Gigabat when defeated without taking any damage from it. When used, it summons a swarm of sixteen bat minions at a time that attempt to circle the player but cannot travel through blocks, resulting in them bouncing around the floor near a grounded player. When an enemy is in range, they will charge at them in a ramming attack, ignoring up to 15 enemy defense but disappearing on hit, requiring more bats to be summoned constantly to keep attacking. Each bat takes up one twelfth of a minion slot, adding up quickly with later-game summoner gear, and their target can be focused by right-clicking on an enemy just like with traditional summoner staves.
Its best modifier is Ruthless for damage output, or Agile or Quick for faster summoning rate. Unlike most summon weapons, this weapon actually benefits from speed since the minions are expended upon hitting enemies. It cannot receive modifiers affecting damage except for ruthless, and like most minions they cannot deal critical hits.
