The Crystal Knife is a Hardmode melee weapon. An upgraded version of the Salt Knife, it acts similarly in that it creates a waving knife projectile that points towards the cursor. However, at the midpoint of its swing it will fly out to the cursor's position for just a moment, striking anything in its path but disappearing if it hits a tile. Up to sixteen Crystal Knives can be stacked into one slot, allowing several knives to be thrown at a time with a slight delay between each; a full stack creates a near-constant stream of knives with only a small gap in the cycle. It is invaluable for dispatching faraway foes, as its range is as far as you can move your mouse, allowing it to strike anything you have a line of sight with.
