The Shatterslash is a craftable Hardmode magic weapon. On use, it sends out six shards of ice in a hexagonal formation around the player, which slow to a stop after a short distance. At this point, if an enemy is nearby, they will point towards it and home in at high speed, inflicting Frostburn for 5 seconds, but otherwise they will slowly accelerate outwards in the direction they were facing. The shards will break on impact with blocks, so it is best used in midair. It is the snow counterpart of the Desolate Winds.

Its best modifier is Mythical.
