The Gelthrower is a flawless Pre-Hardmode launcher that is dropped by King Slime when defeated without taking any damage from it. It uses gel as ammunition to fire bouncy blobs of goo that move quickly, are slightly affected by gravity, and can hit up to twice before disappearing, also inflicting a few seconds of the Slime debuff with each hit. However, the angle of its bounce is quite unpredictable, so it should not be relied on as a primary source of damage from the weapon and instead treated as a bonus effect to potentially get an extra hit in with each shot as its fast fire rate grants it formidable firepower for the stage in the game it can be obtained at.

Its best modifier is Unreal.
