The Bony Backhand is a flawless Pre-Hardmode warhammer that is dropped by Skeletron when defeated without taking any damage from it. Like all warhammers, it is swung over the player's head and reduces the defense of hit enemies. In addition to its massive knockback nearly on par with the Slap Hand, hitting an enemy will cause it to launch two bone shard projectiles from its hand towards the cursor, which will stick into enemies to deal damage over time increasing depending on how many are impaled on them similar to the Bone Javelin, also reducing their defense by 1 for each shard stuck in them.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
