The Heart Beater is a craftable Pre-Hardmode warhammer. Like all warhammers, it is swung over the player's head and reduces the defense of hit enemies, but only the hammer's head deals damage so some precision is required to use it effectively. It is the Crimson counterpart of the Soul Crusher; compared to it, it has more range, damage and Hammered duration but a significantly slower use time.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
