- Hi, you'll probably get a faster response asking at the forums thread, Discord server, etc. of your mod. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 22:25, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
How do I link to a modded item from Spirit Mod?
I know that you can link to Calamity items/pages using clm:Blood_Orbclm:Blood_Orb, but how would I do that for other mods like Spirit Mod? (I've been looking through all the documentation and stuff but I can't seem to find anything helpful.) Again, any help would be greatly appreciated! — Preceding unsigned comment added by RepeatSalt (talk • contribs) at 02:52, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, see Template:Item#"#", "##", and "@" syntax for the details. For Calamity's Blood Orb, you could use:
{{item|#Blood Orb|mod=Calamity}}
→Blood Orb
- or, with less typing but the exact same result:
{{item|#Blood Orb@Calamity}}
→Blood Orb.
- For items that are not vanilla or from your respective mod, it's best to add a note with the mod name for clarity. Simply add another hash
#
for that: {{item|##Blood Orb@Calamity}}
→Blood Orb(Calamity).
- The concept is identical for other mods, e.g. Spirit Mod's Enchanted Leaf:
{{item|##Enchanted Leaf@Spirit Mod}}
→ Spirit Mod/Enchanted LeafEnchanted Leaf(Spirit Mod).- You might need to upload the image here if it's missing, and/or create a redirect to the external mod wiki (like Calamity/Blood Orb; see Special:Interwiki for possible prefixes). Did this answer your question?
- Also take a look at Repeat's DND Vanity/Cross-compatibility. I took the liberty of simplifying the links and items on that page and you can find more examples there.

"Very large" should be replaced with "large" in the description for mods with their own wikis
Case in point, Starlight River is not nearly as large as any of the mods there, having only two bosses, like 3 biomes and structures, only 1 NPC that can't even move in. Most of it is focused on items. Until the section consists entirely of mods that are, indeed, "very large", this should not be there IMO. PLMMJ6 (talk) 16:43, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
