The Life Grasper is a craftable Hardmode magic weapon, created by combining the Clinger Staff and Life Drain using Evil DNA. When used, it summons a large, circular red aura that remains stationary, rapidly damaging any enemies in its radius and providing the player with a boost to their health regeneration as long as it is dealing damage. The aura lingers for some time, with a shorter duration the further away from the player it was created, and only one can be present at a time; attempting to create a second will cause the existing one to disappear immediately.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. Similar to the Clinger Staff, the only stats that improve damage output are damage and critical strike chance. Critical hits can be optimized by switching to another weapon of higher critical chance, which causes the current lingering projectiles from Life Grasper to use that weapon's critical chance instead.

Concerning Journey Mode: The research value of the Life Grasper is currently bugged, and cannot be researched.
