The Thistle Thrower is a craftable Pre-Hardmode atlatl. It has no special properties, simply serving as an upgrade to the Wooden Atlatl in both damage and speed.

Its best modifier is Legendary or Unreal. The main difference is that legendary increases the size of the atlatl, which has a linear effect on the projectile velocity, while unreal increases the velocity itself. Despite a slight difference between size and velocity, both modifiers should retain a similarly effective DPS.
