The Pincer Staff is a Hardmode summon weapon that is dropped by Crimagos. It summons a sentry resembling a blob of flesh equipped with two Crimago claws, which it uses to fire slash projectiles in the directions of nearby enemies. Each claw can only target enemies on its side of the sentry, meaning the sentry's damage output is improved when enemies are on both sides. They are fired in sets of three and phase through terrain just like the Crimago's projectiles, and will fade away and disappear after traveling a fairly long distance. Like all sentries, the flesh puddle is immobile and invulnerable and will disappear after two minutes.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. While Mythical provides the widest array of stat bonuses, these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only lasting advantage mythical has over ruthless is knockback.
