The Stormcore is an accessory dropped by the Storm Cloudfish. When equipped, it will gradually summon cloudfish minions from the sky as long as the player is on the surface layer. The cloudfish minions attack by swarming enemies to deal rapid hits of 1 damage, and are particularly effective on stationary midair enemies. Each cloudfish only takes up a sixth of a minion slot, allowing up to 6 to be summoned at once with only one slot and adding up quickly with additional slots.

However, if the accessory is removed or the player ventures underground, the stormfish will begin to disappear, rendering the accessory useless underground and preventing players from being able to briefly equip it to build up a swarm and remove it for another accessory. Cloudfish will also disappear if they go off-screen, so be cautious of moving too fast as it will cause your swarm to despawn and take some time to build back up.
