Pegasi are a Hardmode enemy that appear during The Rapture. They continually charge horizontally at the player, adjusting their height between charges to match them.

When the event is over 60% complete, they may also spawn being ridden by Sun Knights; the Sun Knight will attack by spinning its sword when the Pegasus charges the player. Killing either of this combined unit will not kill the other one, leaving it to attack normally on its own.
