Bosses (Polarities Mod)
The Polarities Mod adds a total of 10 new bosses for the player to battle.
Pre-Hardmode Bosses
Storm Cloudfish
The Storm Cloudfish is a fish-shaped cloud creature swimming in the skies of Terraria with 1,800 / (2,880) health. It is summoned by releasing a Worm on a Balloon on the surface. It is intended to be fought before the Eye of Cthulhu. The Storm Cloudfish drops a number of weather-related items. It also drops the Storm Scales in Expert Mode, which increases defense and decreases enemy aggro as the player's health lowers. Its flawless item is the Eye of the Stormfish, a magic weapon that creates a storm vortex and fires a straight bolt of lightning at your cursor's position after a short delay. |
Star Construct
The Star Construct is a mysterious cosmic machine with 4,000 / (7,200) total health. The boss will occasionally fall from the sky at night as a Dormant Construct when the player has over 200 maximum life that must be damaged to awaken it and begin the battle, or it can be summoned manually with a Stellar Remote. It is intended to be fought alongside the Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu. The Star Construct drops a number of items themed after Fallen Stars upon defeat. It also drops the Cosmic Cable in Expert Mode, which improves grappling hook stats. Its flawless item is the Stardance, a melee weapon that shoots out several star lances which redirect to home in on nearby enemies shortly after being fired. |
Gigabat
The Gigabat is a colossal bat with 3,000 / (4,000) health. Its summoning requires the player to summon it by releasing Gemflies in the cavern layer and waiting for it to spawn, or by using a Bat Whistle there. It can only be summoned in the underground or cavern layers. It is intended to be fought just before Queen Bee. The Gigabat drops a number of items themed after bats. It also drops the Feral Fang in Expert Mode, which inflicts Feral Bite and immunity to all debuffs caused by it, with a small damage penalty to compensate. Its flawless item is the Batastrophe, an unusual summon weapon that fires a constant stream of bats which each take up a small fraction of a minion slot and disappear on contact with an enemy. |
Hardmode Bosses
Sun Pixie
The Sun Pixie is a giant sun-themed pixie with 30,000 / (40,000) health. It spawns automatically after clearing The Rapture, but can also be manually summoned with a Hallowed Star. It is intended to be fought among the mechanical bosses, requiring the defeat of at least one to craft the Hallowed Star. The Sun Pixie drops a number of items themed after light and the sun upon defeat. It also drops the Everlight in Expert Mode, which creates a bright illumination around the player's cursor when held. Its flawless item is the Ray of Sunshine, a magic weapon that summons a massive terrain-piercing beam of light from the sky which slowly follows the player's cursor. |
Esophage
The Esophage is a giant bacteriophage themed after both The Corruption and The Crimson, with 34,000 / (44,000) health. It spawns automatically after clearing The Pestilence, but can also be manually summoned with a Fleshy Capsid. It is intended to be fought after the mechanical bosses alongside Plantera. The Esophage drops various items themed after the world evils as well as itself. It also drops the Adaptive Genes in Expert Mode, an accessory that gradually boosts the player's damage and critical strike chance the higher their health is, also simultaneously increasing their movement speed and health regeneration the lower it is. |
