Blood Bats are a Pre-Hardmode enemy that appear during a Blood Moon. A counterpart of the Zombat, it behaves similarly, moving in swarms and swooping at the player to attack but often over- or undershooting and running into terrain instead. During the day, they will instead attempt to flee from the player like other night-based enemies, moving off-screen and despawning.
