Aequoreans are a Hardmode enemy that appear during The Rapture. They float around the player slowly, occasionally firing rainbow light clones of themselves that move faster than it but have limited ability to adjust their direction, essentially serving as projectiles.

Trivia

• It is based on the Aequorea victoria, a species of bioluminescent jellyfish.
• In game, the aequorean and it's clones have a series of tentacles which appear to 'rotate' with code. The speed of rotation correlates to horizontal movement.
