Brine Dwellers are a Hardmode enemy that spawn in water in Salt Caves. Appearing in small groups, they will leap out of the water when the player is above them in sequence, dealing damage on impact and inflicting both Desiccating and Confused in Expert Mode. They become partially translucent when submerged, hiding their health bar if damaged and making them harder to see coming. When on land, they will flop about randomly. They have a 25*1/4 (25%) chance to spawn as a rare pink or brown variant; this is only cosmetic and does not affect their stats or behavior in any way.
