The Granite Stomper is a Hardmode enemy found in Granite Caves. It spawns with its legs covering its body, completely invulnerable to damage; when the player comes close enough, it will emerge and perform several different attacks, never repeating the same one twice in a row:

• Leaps at the player similarly to a slime up to three times, attempting to stomp on them.
• Charges up briefly before firing a colorful laser beam from the top of its head, sweeping up or down towards the player. The laser is stopped by terrain.
• Jumps up a short distance and retracts its legs, returning to its closed state and launching several crystal projectiles upon landing that fly towards the player, homing in on them.

If the player gets far away enough from the Granite Stomper, it will return to its dormant state, requiring them to stay fairly close in order to damage it.
