Bestiary (Star Construct)
Star Construct is a Pre-Hardmode boss intended to be fought at around the same time as the Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu.
While it is alive, its exclusive music Cosmic Screaming will play.
Spawning
The boss will occasionally fall from the sky at night as a Dormant Construct when the player has over 300 maximum life that must be damaged to awaken it and begin the battle, or it can be summoned manually with a Stellar Remote.
Behavior
When awoken, Star Construct will unfold from its dormant star-shaped form, extend four grappling hooks, and begin chasing the player with a scream. Below 50%/60% health, it jumps into the air, spins while glowing brightly, and summons four additional hooks. It alternates between the following set of attacks, choosing attacks more often if they haven't been used in a while, and never repeating the same attack twice in a row.
- Pursuit- Star Construct runs after the player before jumping into the air.
- Hook Pincer- Star Construct attempts to run to within a certain distance of the player, while its hooks position themselves on two sides the player before dashing directly inwards. This attack always repeats three times.
- Hook Stomp- Star Construct uses its hooks as feet, attempting to stomp on and around the player.
- Hook Swing- Star Construct swings its hooks around itself, attempting to stay within a certain range of the player. If they get too far away, it will transition into its star form and fly after them.
- Hook Copter- Star Construct jumps into the air, swinging its hooks around itself, before rapidly accelerating to the side while attempting to level itself with the player.
- Starstreams- Star Construct jumps into the air, positioning its hooks around itself, before rising upwards while firing streams of fallen stars from its hooks that converge downwards.
- Starfall- Star Construct jumps high into the air, before turning into its star form and falling towards the player, emitting a small burst of light and a ring of fallen stars when it impacts tiles. The boss does contact damage during this phase.
In Expert Mode, both the construct and its hooks move significantly faster. In addition, during the starfall attack, below 60% health, the boss instead creates a converging spotlight telegraph that attempts to predict the player's motion, before teleporting along the telegraph until it collides with tiles, emitting a burst of fallen stars and leaving behind a short-lived damaging trail.

Secret world seed changes
For the Worthy
- Begins with 6 arms, increasing to 12 in its second phase.
- The angle between its arms during Hook Pincer is smaller, giving the player less room to maneuver.
- Starfall creates more projectiles on impact.

- Its star projectiles are now pink, as with all other stars in the seed.
Aftermath
Once the Star Construct has been defeated for the first time, the following will occur:
- Stellated Slimes and Great Stellated Slimes will begin spawning naturally.
- The Ghostwriter will begin selling The Construct out of Space.
Notes
- The Dormant Construct is normally invulnerable when transforming into the Star Construct. If it is somehow killed during this state, It will disappear and will not count as defeating the boss. Be aware of this if any mod conflicts cause it to be vulnerable to damage at this state.
Tips
- In Expert Mode, the boss moves very quickly, meaning the ability to rapidly change direction with a Hook or the Shield of Cthulhu is extremely valuable.
