The Hopper Crystal is a Pre-Hardmode accessory that is rarely dropped by Salthoppers. When equipped, it boosts the player's jump height slightly and allows auto-jumping by holding ↷ Jump, and additionally boosts horizontal movement speed at the beginning of a jump, creating a sort of bunnyhopping effect that makes for a good early movement option in lieu of the Hermes Boots. This effect also stacks with movement speed increases, allowing it to be useful at nearly any stage of the game.
