The Storm Scales are a Pre-Hardmode accessory dropped by the Storm Cloudfish's Treasure Bag in Expert Mode. When equipped, it grants the player high aerial control, allowing them to stop and turn around nearly instantly when in midair. It can be especially helpful in combination with Rocket Boots or wings, allowing even more fine-tuned aerial control to assist in dodging attacks and other tricky maneuvers.
