The Épée is a craftable Pre-Hardmode melee weapon. When used on the ground, it launches the player about 10 blocks forward with the weapon held horizontally, and hitting an enemy in this time will cause them to bounce back a short distance. Using it in the air will induce no sideways momentum, but it will still bounce you back when hitting something.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
