The Rift on a Stick is a Pre-Hardmode warhammer that is dropped by the Rift Denizen. Like all warhammers, it is swung over the player's head and reduces the defense of hit enemies. Right-clicking instead causes it to be held like a staff-type magic weapon as it fires an infinite-range beam of energy that pierces through tiles and enemies, lasting for half a second and following the player's position during this time while it cannot be aimed in a different direction, similarly to the Laser Lens.

Its best modifier is Legendary, Godly, or Demonic DPS-wise. The weapon's use time does not get affected by modifiers. If anything, speed should not be concerned for reforges.
