The Phagocyte is a Hardmode boomerang that is dropped by the Hemorrphage. It has a long range and is thrown at high speed, and upon contacting an enemy, it will stick to them and begin dealing damage over time similar to the Bone Javelin. Only one phagocyte can be thrown at a time, but sticking to an enemy causes it to no longer count as an active projectile and allows another to be thrown, and attaching multiple phagocytes to a single enemy causes them to take massively increased DoT.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both increase the average damage output equally.
