The Lunarang is a Hardmode boomerang dropped by the Eclipxie. When thrown, it initially acts as a traditional boomerang, but upon impact or when it reaches its maximum distance, it begins to home in on nearby enemies, hovering over them and rapidly dealing damage while inflicting Frostburn. It will bounce from enemy to enemy as it defeats them and the player can use other weapons while it is out; it will return when there are no more enemies in range, but will also disappear after being out for a long enough time. Right-clicking while the boomerang is out will cause it to stop attacking and immediately return to the player.

Unlike most Eclipxie drops, but like the Solarang, it has no Sun Pixie counterpart; the two items can also be combined into the Cosmic Discs, which combines the functionality of both weapons.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both increase the average damage output equally.
