The Chaos Shot is a craftable Hardmode gun made from materials found in the Fractal Dimension. It has an absurdly fast firing rate (shooting at a slight spread between each shot that results in a V-shaped formation) that allows players to unleash a constant hail of bullets strong enough to immobilize most enemies with its knockback, but its zero base damage means it relies solely on its ammunition to deal damage quickly, and its firing speed means it chews through bullets at an alarming rate even with its 50% chance to not consume ammo. It is usually best to pair it with the Endless Musket Pouch; while lacking in damage compared to other bullets, its infinite supply means the user can keep up their assault indefinitely.

The weapon cannot receive modifiers because of the zero damage value it has.

Trivia

• The Chaos Shot is one of several weapons in the Polarities Mod that has a zero damage value, which is hidden from the item's hover text.
  • The other zero damage weapons are: Echo Staff, Discorb, and Observer Orb.
  • Of these, the Chaos Shot is the only one that can deal damage regardless, due to adding its fired bullets' damage as a ranged weapon.
