The Cone Gun is a Hardmode magic weapon that is rarely dropped by Orthoconics. It fires a massive cone projectile with enough force to shake the camera in a straight line towards the cursor that pierces infinitely through both enemies and tiles, dealing absurd damage to anything in its path. However, it consumes all of the player's available mana on use, and its damage is dependent on how much mana it uses; specifically, the formula is as follows:

(<damage value> × <current mana> × <current mana> ÷ 40000)

For instance, with 200 mana it will deal 900 base damage per hit (without any modifiers or magic damage boosts applied), and the maximum value of 400 mana will cause it to do 3600 damage, but with only 30 mana it will deal just 20.25 damage instead. Additionally, its damage is reduced to a quarter of its final value if the player is currently afflicted with Mana Sickness, regardless of its remaining duration, and its mana consumption is not affected by any form of cost reduction.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. It cannot receive modifiers affecting mana cost due to the unique method of consuming mana mentioned before, and more speed is hardly useful since excessive use of the weapon is ineffective.
