Arid Armor is a Pre-Hardmode armor set dropped from the Ancient Husk.

It consists of the Arid Mask, Arid Breastplate and Arid Greaves.

The set grants a flat 21 defense, a +12% buff to all crit chance, increases the damage of critical hits by 10%, and +12% buff to movement speed. The set bonus creates an explosion around an enemy that has been critically hit that damages surrounding enemies and inflicts the On Fire debuff. The explosion deals the same damage as the crit, but cannot damage the attacked enemy or crit itself. The explosion can only hit up to 3 enemies, and deals 50% less damage to worm enemies.

Notes

• The breastplate is unique in that it only increases the damage of critical hits, not the chance of them. For example a weapon that deals 50 damage will deal 110 damage for a crit instead of 100.
• Many sand like particles emit from the player when a full set is worn.

Trivia

• The breastplate alongside the Eye of the Derpling, the Eye of the Jungle, and the Eye of the Storm, are the only items in the mod to increase critical strike damage.
