Activating the Granite Barrier

Granite Armor is a Pre-Hardmode armor set crafted from Gold/Platinum Bars and Granite power cells.

It consists of a Granite Mask, Granite Chestplate and Granite Leggings.

The set grants a flat 14 defense, +8% buff to melee damage, a +4% buff to melee critical strike chance, and +10% movement speed. With a full set pressing the Armor Special Hotkey will activate the Granite Barrier buff for 5 seconds which grants 50% damage resistance, full knockback resistance, and a thorns effect, but lowers movement speed and jump height in return. After the buff is over there is a 20 second cooldown before the buff can be activated again, during the time the player will have the Cell Recharge debuff.

Notes

• The armor set pulses and purple particles appear around the player while the set bonus is active.
• The Armor Special Hotkey is bound to V by default
• If the player ends the buff early then the debuff duration will be increased to reflect this.
• Removing any piece of the armour while the Granite barrier is activated will cause it to immediately end.
• Pressing the armor hotkey while the cooldown is active will produce a sound effect and a few particles will be emitted from the player.
• Unequipping the armour while the cooldown is active will pause the cooldown until the armour is equipped again.

• This armor strongly resembles a Granite Golem.
