The Ancient Scarab is an expert-only hardmode accessory that drops from the Ancient Husk's treasure bag. When equipped is creates a sand aura around the player's cursor, enemies within the cursor take 20% extra damage from the player. If an enemy leaves the aura it still receives extra damage, but the amount falls off and completely disappears after 3.2 seconds.

Notes

• The extra damage falls off by 1% every 10 frames when the enemy is outside of the aura.
  • Enemies will immediately take 20% extra damage as soon as they enter the aura again.
• Enemies will have a dark orange tint when within the aura and are inflicted with the Arid Aura debuff.
• Because the accessory relies on a debuff, enemies immune to all debuffs are unaffected by this accessory.
