Inflicting the Shadowflame debuff onto enemies via a whip.

Shadowflare Armor is a hardmode whip-summoner set that can be dropped from the Goblin Warlock.

It consists of the Shadowflare Mask, Shadowflare Robe and Shadowflare Greaves.

The set grants a flat 26 defense, a +24% buff to summon damage, grants 1 additional minion slot, increased whip speed by 25%, and whip range by 35%. The set bonus makes all whips inflict the shadowflame debuff onto enemies, and additionally all enemies inflicted with shadowflame take an addition 5 damage from any weapon.

Notes

• The set bonus acts as a pseudo tag damage that affects all weapons.
• The tag bonus works on enemies inflicted with shadow flame from any source, not just whips, meaning it can synergise with the shadow flame weapons.
• On expert mode 2 different pieces will always drop.

Trivia

• The male and female sprite are identical, a trait shared with Twilight Armor.
• This is the only armor set in the mod to be dropped instead of crafted.
• This armour set used to have worse offensive buffs than the Obsidian armor due to it being overstatted, however as of 1.4.4 Obsidian armour only has slightly more summoner damage and lacks the pseudo tag damage set bonus, and has weaker whip buffs.
