The Overloaded Storm Core is an expert-only hardmode accessory that drops from the Overloaded Scandrone's treasure bag. When equipped a lightning portal orbits the player that initially does nothing, however holding UP and right clicking sends the portal to the cursor's location, where it continuously sends out lightning bolts in all directions, damaging enemies for 75 damage. Holding down and right clicking, or moving too far away from the portal returns the portal to the player.

Notes

• The portal can remain out indefinitely, as long as the player does not move too far away from it.
• The portal can be repositioned without needing to return it by holding UP and right clicking again
• The portal requires a line of sight from the cursor to the player to be placed.
• The portal does more damage the closer the enemy is to the center.
