Tourmaline Staff (Avalon)

Using the Tourmaline Staff to attack a Target Dummy.

The Tourmaline Staff is an early pre-Hardmode magic weapon. It shoots a single, non-piercing bolt. It is the weakest gem staff which can autofire.

Its best modifier is Phantasmal.

It has slow speed and low knockback, but even with the low starting base mana of 20, the staff can fire 4 consecutive shots.
Due to its somewhat slow projectile speed, this weapon suffers when facing moving aerial targets, such as the Demon Eye.

In the Exxo Avalon source mod, the Tourmaline Staff was crafted with Demonite Bars and Shadow Scales instead of Bronze Bars.
- The equivalent bronze-tier gem staff was crafted with either Amethyst or Topaz.
