Using the Desert Long Sword to attack a Target Dummy.

The Desert Long Sword is a pre-Hardmode sword. When swung it creates a spray of sand dust around itself, increasing its range. It can only be obtained by throwing a Mandible Blade into Shimmer, having identical stats. It can be used in the crafting of the Aeon's Eternity instead of the Mandible Blade.

Its best modifier is Awestruck.

Trivia

  • In the Exxo Avalon source mod, the Desert Long Sword was craftable with Sand Blocks, Beaks, and Topaz instead of being transmuted via Shimmer.
