The Chaos Tome is a pre-Hardmode magic weapon dropped by Goblin Sorcerers. It fires piercing chaos bolts that travel through blocks, decaying quicker while inside blocks for longer than 0.5 seconds and dissipating entirely if inside blocks for 2 seconds. The Chaos Tome's bolts gain a 10% damage penalty for each enemy hit.
Its best modifier is Phantasmal.

- As it travels a far distance, goes through walls, and emits light, it may be useful for revealing treasures underground or uncovering the minimap.
