The Starstorm is a Hardmode sword which is an upgrade to the Starfury. It summons 1–4 star projectiles from the sky to the location of the cursor when swung, the amount of stars being determined by the distance the mouse cursor is from the player, and the damage being reduced for each star that is summoned. The stars can pierce up to 1 target, hitting a total of 2 targets. The stars will travel through all blocks until they have reached the player's cursor.

Its best modifier is Awestruck.

• At least 1 star projectile will always be summoned. The damage dealt by the stars is determined by the amount. The following table visualizes the number of projectiles, respective mouse cursor distance from the player, and damage:

• The star projectiles spawn 31.25 tiles above the player and (horizontally) up to 3.75 tiles away from the cursor's location.
  • Therefore, positioning the cursor at the very bottom of the screen will cause the stars to fall in a nearly straight line, while positioning at the top of the screen will cause the angle of their trajectory to vary wildly.
