The Platinum Barbed Net is a pre-Hardmode melee weapon that can also be used to capture Critters without killing them, including those catchable by the Lavaproof Bug Net. It deals the same damage and knockback as the Platinum Broadsword, but can be turned while swinging and has a slower swing speed.
Its best modifier is Awestruck.
