Notes

  • The Shell Hammer does not fire a shell projectile at the start of each use, instead firing one every 50 game ticks while the hammer is being swung as opposed to every 35 game ticks, which would align with the start of each swing.
  • If the shell projectile is slowed down, such as by entering a liquid or from being initially fired upwards or downwards, it will slowly speed up until it reaches its maximum horizontal velocity.

Trivia

  • Despite being called the Shell Hammer, it has no hammer capabilities.
  • The original idea and sprites for this weapon came from a forum post by user Milt69466, as an additional use for Turtle Shells.[1]
    • The Spirit Mod also has a Shell Hammer weapon, based upon the same forum post.
  • The shell projectile bouncing off of walls is a reference to the Koopa Shells from the Mario video game series.[2]

History

  • 1.0.0: Introduced.
