The Sentry 6502 is a Pre-Hardmode accessory sold by the Mechanic.While equipped, sentries will inherit the effects of equipped accessories.

This accessory only works with player-exclusive effects that aren't granted to all of your weapons, for example, a 15% damage increase item is already applied to ALL sentries and will not be double inherited, while the Spore Sac only spawns spores around the player, and its ability will be inherited by sentries.
