The Crown of Darkness is a Pre-Hardmode accessory sold by the Occultist. If you are in almost pitch black darkness, you will gain 10% increased damage. This item is extremely hard to utilize, as light is extremely common in player explored land, and weapons. For a reference on how sensitive this item is to light, you must stand 7 blocks above the faint light of Glowing Mushroom blocks in order for the accessory to consider you dark enough.
When the item is not active, it will appear darker.
When boosted with the Crown of Blood, you will deal 20% increased damage while in darkness.
Tips
- This item is almost exclusively useful in afk farms and summoner, as you can normally trap yourself in a dark room and let your minions benefit from increased damage.
- Using dyes which ignore light like Acid Dyes, Wisp Dyes, Hades Dyes, Solar Dye, Enchanted Dye, ect, can let you see the player without using light pets or lights.
Trivia
- The darkness threshold for this item to activate is below that of the The Constant seed's darkness damage, making this item detrimental to use in that seed.
