The Black Phial is a Pre-Hardmode accessory. While equipped, all debuffs you apply to enemies will last 50% longer, and attacking enemies will also have a chance to inflict a random debuff chosen from the list below.

The chance for this accessory to apply a debuff is dependent on the amount of debuffs the enemy currently has, and an internal cooldown which lasts 1/2 a second, making it have similar effectiveness on fast and insanely fast weapons.

When boosted with the Crown of Blood, inflicted debuffs will last twice as long, and it will apply debuffs more often.
