The High-Tech armor is a Hardmode armor set that consists of the High-Tech Armor, High-Tech Leggings, and either the Magnetic Helm or Electric Visor. Equipping the full set provides a different effect depending on the helmet used:
- The Magnetic Helm grants additional defense as the player deals damage to enemies, boosting it in increments of 2 per hit with a one-second cooldown. However, taking any damage will remove all gained defense.
- The Electric Visor summons a ring of sparks around the player after hitting an enemy that function similarly to the Shatterslash, homing in on enemies after a short delay and able to pass through blocks. This bonus can be triggered by the sparks themselves as well.
Crafting a full set requires varying amounts of materials depending on the helmet chosen; the Magnetic Helm requires 55 Polarized Bars and 45 Souls of Smite, while with the Electric Visor it costs 35 Polarized Bars and 70 Souls of Smite. Regardless of the helmet choice, the set also requires 40 Silk and 65 Wire; crafting the full set with both helmet types requires 60 Polarized Bars, 75 Souls of Smite, 50 Silk, and 90 Wire in total.
The High-Tech Armor and Leggings change color to match the equipped helmet; if neither are worn, they will appear gray instead: .png){kind=small}
