The Fractal Absorber is a Hardmode accessory found in locked Fractal Chests in the Fractal Dimension. When equipped, it reduces the rate at which Fractalizing progresses by two thirds, meaning it takes three seconds of real time to add one second of Fractalizing. It is most useful when one wants to stay at a certain level of fractalization for as long as possible, such as to build something in the Fractal Dimension or look for resources without being overwhelmed by its health reduction or enemies from higher tiers that they are not yet equipped for. The item has no effect outside the Fractal Dimension.

Trivia

• Its tooltip references the Triforce from the Legend of Zelda franchise due to the cosmetic similarities between the two; however, this is purely a coincidence, as the Fractal Absorber is based on the Sierpiński triangle fractal.
