The Heartless Soul is an enemy that spawns in the Underworld. It floats towards the player, passing through tiles, and summons 3 Red Souls which charge towards the player after a short delay. Both the enemy and the souls inflict the Blazing Fire debuff on the player, and they themselves are immune to it. They are the only source of Broken Hearts.

Notes

• The Red Souls pass through tiles and home in towards the player for 1 second after they start to charge.
• While the enemy can pass through tiles, it will not attack until it has a line of sight.
• Their soul summon attack can be halted by attacking them or losing a line of sight.
• They will not spawn until the Skeletron has been defeated on Don't Dig Up worlds.
