The Skyhook is a Pre-Hardmode grappling hook that is dropped by the Storm Cloudfish. While it has a long range and fires quickly, it will only latch on to air, passing through platforms and failing if there are any blocks in its way, reeling in slowly and keeping its user suspended in the air until they break the hooked state. It allows the player to "fly" infinitely by chaining grapples, allowing for an easy method of reaching and exploring Floating Islands in the early game, but is nearly useless for navigating in caves as it cannot function at all in areas smaller than its maximum range.
