The Phagefoot Hook is a Hardmode grappling hook that is dropped by the Esophage. When used, it launches a tall Esophage leg that is affected by gravity, but only the claw at its bottom will latch on to blocks. However, the retracting hook will bring the player to the top of the leg, creating a significant vertical offset that can come in handy for things like climbing walls or avoiding ground-bound enemies on flat terrain. Up to four hooks can be latched at once.
