The Bat Whistle is a Pre-Hardmode boss summon item used to summon the Gigabat, dropped by Bat Slimes that begin spawning after its initial defeat to provide an easier method of re-fighting it than gemflies. It is usable anywhere in the caverns at any time and the item is not consumed on use, but if you try to use it outside the caverns or while another Gigabat has already been summoned, nothing will happen.
