Weird Key of Night Statistics Type Key Tooltip 'Charged with the essence of strange souls' Rarity 00* Research 1 required The Weird Key of Night is a craftable Hardmode item that, when placed in a chest, will spawn a Corrupt Mimic or Crimson Mimic. Unlike the regular Key of Night it is crafted from, the Weird Key of Night will summon the mimic for the opposite world evil as that of the world it is used in; in worlds infected with The Corruption it will spawn a Crimson Mimic, and The Crimson will result in a Corrupt Mimic. Thus, its primary use is to acquire items dropped by the opposite evil's mimic that would ordinarily be near-impossible to obtain normally.
